- Can we dock our boats at the pier?
Yes. Each condo owner gets their own individual boat slip, and there are six additional tie-ups. Back to Top
- Can I access big Green Lake from the property?
Yes. Big Green is easily accessed from the property. The property is located on Old Dartford Bay, or, as the locals know it, the mill pond. This is the natural outlet of Green Lake. Access to the big lake is easy, just cruise under the small bridge and you're there. Back to Top
- What size boat can I have?
Just about any size. Around the inlet are boats of all sizes including speed boats, pontoons and fishing boats. Only boats with high bridges or sail boats with their masts will not fit under the bridge. The bay is a great benefit to boats because the bay is always calm even when a storm is raging white caps on the big lake. It is so calm that the boats don't bump and grind in their slips. - Can we have boat lifts?
Yes. Boat lifts with covers are permitted. Back to Top
- Can we have pets?
Yes. The association will make and amend pet rules. As of now small pets are allowed if they are quiet and clean. There will be a size limitation. Back to Top
- Is the downtown area close?
You bet. It's so close that it's just a short walk through the park to get there. Restaurants, shops, small library, the bank and convenience store are all within an easy stroll. Back to Top
- The picture shows a park viewable from the property. Where is it?
Right next door. The city park abuts Heron Point on the east property line. This park hearkens back to days gone by with its arched foot bridge, stone lined shoreline, park benches and picnic tables. This is the site of several fun summer festivals including the annual citywide ice cream social and famous fine arts fair. It's a fun place for everyone, young and old. Back to Top
- Can we fish from the piers or shoreline?
Absolutely. You will find some of Green Lake's best fishing there for bass, blue gill, and other sport fish since it's the premier spawning area for the big lake. Back to Top
- Is there a swimming beach?
The association does not have a beach, but a short boat ride away is Hattie Sherwood Park with a public beach and lifeguards. The most popular swimming beach is located on the west side of the lake by Sugar Loaf where there is a wonderful sand bar. You can find it by looking for all the boats anchored in what looks like the middle of inlet. Also, there are sandy swimming beaches available at the Green Lake Conference Center and the County Park. - Does the association have quiet times?
Yes. Quiet times are from 10pm to 8am daily. Back to Top
